Samsung Chromebook 2 made available for preorder

The new Samsung Chromebook 2 which was announced last month is now available for pre-order from Samsung and Amazon. Chromebook 2 is expected to ship on April 28 in 11.6 inches and 13.3 inch models at $319.99 and $399.99 respectively.

The Chromebook 2 series is of stitched leather finish similar to that of Galaxy Note 3 phone. The 11.6-inch weighs 2.43 pounds, has a 1366×768 screen, 11.4 x 8.06 x .66 inch dimension and its processor which clocks at 1.9GHz is Samsung Exynos 5 Octa. The 13.3-inch unit comes in 12.72 x 8.8 x .65-inch, has a 1920 x 1080 resolution along with same CPU that benefits from a clock speed of 2.1GHz. It weighs 3.09 pounds. Both models include a 4GB RAM AND 16GB SSD, a 720p webcam and run Google's desktop OS Chrome. They both include an HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 connector, memory card reader and mic/audio jacks. The smaller model's battery life lasts for "up to" 8 hours while the larger unit, 8.5 hrs. Samsung's Chromebook 2 notebooks are easy to carry.

The faster performance Chromebook 2 is user-friendly and suits any type of user who will use them in school, office, on the road or at home. It is designed to be elegant and of soft touch coating but durable to provide easy grip on learning or work, while remaining to be highly effective in cost and other aspects. The 11.6-inch model will come in Classic White and Jet Black while the other ships in Luminous Titan Gray.
