'Rick and Morty' season 3 spoilers: Earth will be at the mercy of the Galactic Federation, reports say
Little is known about the upcoming season of Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's animated science fiction sitcom "Rick and Morty." But recent reports suggest that the Earth will be under the Galactic Federation, the same order that is holding Rick captive.
Reports say that Harmon has previously confirmed that season 3 will not center on Rick's imprisonment. At the same time, the creator has kept mum about this season's main focus. Despite the lack of information, fans believe that it could easily be about Earth's current predicament with the galactic order.
Rumor has it that the forthcoming season will show how Earth will change under this new system, one of which will come in the form of economic opportunities. It will reportedly benefit earthlings, but it will also come with a price. The new system will place earthlings under the spotlight. The new system will keep track of Earth's activities, and, if they have to, they will pull some strings from the sidelines.
The creators of the animated film have not confirmed the aforementioned plot rumors, thus it is best for fans to take the latest claims with a grain of salt.
"Rick and Morty" season 3 has yet to receive a release date, but it is slated to premiere within the year. As previously reported, the creators have constantly been badgered by fans, demanding them to give a release date. They, however, have kept mum; instead, they have joked about it on social media.
On Roiland's Twitter account, he joked, "When they find out it's never coming...yesh. It's gonna get gnarly."
As of Feb. 19, the show has started recording the voice-over for the third season of "Rick and Morty." Adult Swim nor the creators have not shared a production update since.
More updates should roll out in the weeks to come.
