'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date, news: First trailer released
A few days ago, Rockstar Games sparked a frenzy in the online gaming community when it announced a fall 2017 arrival for the much-anticipated sequel "Red Dead Redemption 2." Now, the first trailer for the game has been released and it is safe to say that fans are excited.
The trailer, which lasts a little over a minute, boasts impressive and realistic graphics. Fans in the comments section have praised the game based on its trailer alone, and the hype is only getting bigger from here on out. The clip starts off with a lone cowboy slowly riding a horse through a valley as the sun is barely out. It shifts to a shot of the beautiful terrain where animals roam free.
It is followed by a farm house with a low fence running around its perimeter. A majestic view from inside the forest then takes center stage as rays of sunlight peek out from in between the tall trees. Viewers then witness a group of people gathered around a campfire in the middle of the forest under a picturesque cluster of stars in the night sky. It is clear that life in this town is simple.
But a devastating tragedy hits, as viewers see the town burning. And at the center of it all is a man seeking retribution. "Listen to me. When the time comes, you gotta run and don't look back. This is over," a voice-over says, signaling the beginning of the end.
It was previously reported that Rockstar Games took to socia media platforms to tease the upcoming sequel by releasing three images. The first is of the studio's black logo against a red background. The second was a bit more clear, featuring the silhouette of seven cowboys against the red sky at sunset. And the last one was the most straightforward of them all — with the same silhouette zoomed in, along with the title and release date of the game.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will hit the market sometime in the fall of 2017.
