'Real Housewives of Atlanta' season 8 update: Show started filming; Sheree and Marlo are back
When there is a void, there is a need to fill it. And Bravo is doing just that by bringing in old cast members in lieu of NeNe Leakes' and Claudia Jordan's departure from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." And boy, are these old and new cast members already causing too much trouble for season eight in just one shooting day.
Bravo is bringing back Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton to their reality TV show, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." On top of Porsha Williams' promotion to a regular cast member, the return of the two former housewives is expected to fill the drama that Leakes and Jordan are sure to have taken away from the show. If it is drama that the network is after, then the two seem to be what they just need.
The cast of "RHOA" has finally began filming for their eighth season last Friday. They and the production crew were spotted at Cynthia Bailey's launch party for her eyewear line. But it was not just about drinking, eating and all-night socializing. Claws went out and fights ensued.
Portia and Marlo were found arguing with Peter Thomas, Cynthia's husband. As if that was not enough, Sheree also engaged in a fight with Kenya Moore. Their fight seemed to have hogged the spotlight as it led to a huge one, with both throwing water at each other.
Aside from the returning former housewives, Porsha, Kenya and Cynthia, also spotted in the party were Kandi Bruss and Phaedra Parks, who are reprising their roles in the show.
There is still no word if Kim Fields will be joining season eight. But Kandi Burruss' current pregnancy will surely be featured a lot in the show, as was previously reported. There are also persistent rumors that Leakes has not completely exited the show and will still have recurring appearances here and there.
No definite release date yet for season eight of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
