Fans need not wait too long to find out what's next for Alex Parrish as "Quantico" season 2 made the list of ABC's Fall lineup. Before the year ends, viewers will find out if Alex does work for the CIA.

Without a specific date yet, it is scheduled to be shown on Sundays at 10 p.m., but it would take even a shorter time to find out what Alex's decision would be. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Josh Safran was asked about her answer and he revealed, "The key to that is in the title of the episode, which is usually the last word spoken in every episode. This time, curiously, it's not, and yet it is." The finale was simply titled "Yes," so moving forward, Alex will be with the CIA.

With the major change in the lead character's life, new characters are expected. Safran said, "This is all stuff that we're dealing with now that I can't really answer yet, but I will tell you that there will definitely be new additions to the cast."

Who are the new faces in season 2? In an interview with TV Line, the executive producer shared, "We don't have anybody for next season yet beyond our regulars." Actor Henry Czerny is speculated to join the cast of season 2. His character Walter Keyes is the CIA operative who worked with Alex in the finale.

"I would love to have him back because in my mind that is, yes, a character that returns for sure. We are setting up the story for Season 2, and that character is important in that," Safran acknowledged.

As for Alex and Ryan, their relationship might just take a backseat in the upcoming season. According to Safran, "I would say that, in season 2, everything slows down." He added, "I'm not going to say what it is, but the nature of the event is slower and unfolding as opposed to explosive. We're just going to take our energy from that. So all relationships will percolate and be slower."
