Fox has already confirmed "Prison Break" lead stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell to relive the drama-thriller series characters Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. The premiere date of season 5 is still speculated to hit sometime in March. It took more than 5 years before the fans can once again witness the clever brothers doing their thing to take down The Company who ruined their life. The Fox network is still going to reveal the official cast soon.

There are reports that Sarah Wayne Callies may not be part of the fifth season. The actress seems to be a bit selective of the projects offered to her. She said in Forbes that she will reprise her role "if the material is either worthy of the faith that the fans put in it or it's not. I don't want to do something that feels like a reunion because it would be cool to get the band back together," she added, "I want to do something because there's more story to tell."

The CEOs of Fox, Dana Walden and Gary Newman gave a few details about the much awaited return of the series. Walden also shared what Paul Scheuring (series writer) has in mind for the season. In the same report, she mentioned that Paul's pitch to them was a very logical and believable explanation of why the characters are still alive and moving around in the world. Walden said that viewers "will get a satisfying answer to why these characters are still alive."

Scofield's faked death will be the highlight of season 5, so fans will only get the answer once the series returns to TV.
