'Pokemon Sun and Moon' news and updates: Official strategy guide open for pre-orders; new game details to be revealed in June
In just a few days' time, "Pokemon" fans will be treated to a much-awaited content blowout.
June 2 can't come soon enough for gamers who have been eagerly anticipating news on what to expect from the upcoming "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" games. While the company has been keeping a tight lid on the information, there are several things that fans are hoping will be announced.
One thing that fans are expecting is the announcement of the legendary names. While a lot of gamers have subscribed to the theory that the Sun legendary will be called Solgaleo and the Moon legendary will be named Lunaala, they're still waiting for an official confirmation.
The revelation of new Pokemon characters is another thing that fans are hoping to hear during the Pokemon Company's presentation. It's been said that there might be over a hundred new characters between the starters and the legendaries for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon," and fans would undoubtedly need time to process all of them before the two games are released in November. Aside from the new Pokemon, gamers are also expecting to see starter evolutions. Fans have already seen some information on this on the company's website, like Rowlet still being a Grass/Flying type, while Litten might become a Fire/Ground type. But more information on the evolutions will undoubtedly be welcomed.
Fans are also hoping to know more about any new gameplay features that will differentiate "Sun" and "Moon" from the previous games, particularly since they all look graphically similar. Hopefully, the Pokemon Company will be able to provide new intel that would keep fans interested in the upcoming releases. Lastly, a look at the touted multiple islands and their attractions would also be good to see.
Of course, these are all just fan wishes and speculations. What is certain though is that the official "Pokemon Sun and Moon" strategy guide is now available for pre-order on Amazon for only $23.99. This collector's edition hardcover contains everything that a gamer would need, like maps, tips, bonus material, and a Pokedex.
"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" will be released on Nov. 18. The game's official strategy guide will also be released on the same day.
