'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' spoilers, rumors: Movie's spotlight to veer away from Captain Jack Sparrow
Although "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" is not slated to arrive in theaters earlier than 2017, various rumors have already hounded the said sequel, with many speculating that the upcoming movie will cast the spotlight on Orlando Bloom's character rather than that of Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow.
According to the latest reports, the upcoming sequel of "Pirates of the Caribbean" will focus on Bloom's Will Turner character as, allegedly, Depp has caused a great deal of headache to the production of the movie because of his troubled marriage with now estranged wife Amber Heard.
It was reported last month that reliable sources had claimed that Depp was a nightmare on the set of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" as he would not show up for work, or, if ever he did, he had the production waiting for him for hours.
It was also alleged that, at one point, Depp even cut his finger and dipped it in blue paint and wrote on the mirror using the wounded digit in accusing Heard of infidelity.
Depp was said to be high on alcohol and illegal substance when the said incident happened.
Depp and Heard had finally settled their divorce case with Depp paying the latter a whopping $7 million, which Heard said she would use as donation to two charities that work on protecting abused women and catering to the needs of sick and less fortunate children.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time for the rumor saying that "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" would focus on Bloom's character. In fact, almost two years ago, Bloom already hinted that the upcoming movie may be a soft reboot that will focus on his character's relationship with his son.
"I'm not entirely sure that (I'll be back) just yet, but there are talks. Basically, they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son," said Bloom in an interview with IGN back in December 2014.
Will "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" really be about Bloom's character and not about Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow?
Find out when "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" arrives in theaters on May 26, 2017.
