Panasonic T50 smartphone specs include 4.5-inch display, 1GB of RAM, SAIL interface

Japanese multinational electronics company Panasonic has a new smartphone product for its fans and it's called the T50. According to a report by The Indian Express, the device is the company's latest budget-friendly flagship device. It has been launched in India and is priced at Rs 4,990. The device is also based on the company's exclusive in-house SAIL user interface.

As noted in BGR, Pankaj Rana, business head, mobility division, Panasonic India, said: "Our latest introduction in the Indian market is a novelty because it arrives with the launch of Panasonic's in-house software, the SAIL user interface."

The Panasonic T50 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device is equipped with 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1 GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 8 GB, which can be expanded further up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot.

The device is pre-installed with the Android 5.1 Lollipop with the SAIL UI on top of it. IANS Live detailed that the SAIL UI is a fluid platform that allows users to easily switch between multiple apps. It also helps in organizing apps by genre and control onscreen operations with just gestures.

"It is an app-driven smartphone which combines 3G connectivity and multi-app smoothness for a flawless user experience in a handheld device," said Rana.

The device also features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The UI is also integrated into a specialized SAIL camera. There are nine beauty camera modes, and with the SAIL camera, there are a variety of photography options available for various scenarios. There's also a pose mode, child mode, and watermark.

Moreover, the Panasonic T50 is powered with a 1,600 mAh battery and comes with connectivity options including 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Color options available include champagne gold, rose gold, and midnight blue.
