'Outlander' season 3 news: Production prepares to film 'most complicated' episodes in South Africa
South Africa's hot weather temperature does not stop the cast and crew of "Outlander" to film some of the "most complicated" episodes for season 3.
On Twitter, co-executive producer Matthew B. Roberts confirmed that the production staff of Starz's adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's best-selling novels have been busy the past few weeks in their South Africa set to prepare for the biggest and more complex episodes for the upcoming season.
.@KarenABQNM I've been horribly busy these past few weeks. We are preparing for what will be #outlander 's most (epic) complicated block.

Roberts followed it up with a joke, saying that the temperature in their location increased because they spent some time to read-through the scripts of the next episodes.

While the tweets do not specify the details about the plot of the upcoming episodes, fans of the book saga know that season 3 will center on the events of the third book titled "Voyager," which follows the lives of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) as they travel to the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, the list of the new cast members for "Outlander" season 3 continues to grow longer as Scottish actor James McAnerney was confirmed to be part of the group that traveled to South Africa to film more episodes for the season.
McAnerney confirmed the news through his Twitter account, showing a photo of a travel visa to South Africa prior to his departure to the set of "Outlander" season 3.

According to a fan-based Facebook account, the actor will portray the role of Kenneth MacIver in the next installment of the series.
On the other hand, the actor reportedly told an "Outlander" blog that he had a great time working on the set. "It was incredible. The detail that the art department, costume and make up departments went to was phenomenal," McAnerney stated. "Everyone was so lovely, from the director, to the production team, to the cast. Sam and Cait were so nice and welcoming."
Starz will release "Outlander" season 3 sometime in September.
