The network has already released trailers for its first episode, "Down the Rabbit Hole." A synopsis of the whole season was shared by Fashion & Style, "Season 4 of the drama will see leader-of-the-pack, Sarah, reluctantly return home from her Icelandic hideout to track down an elusive and mysterious ally tied to the clone who started it all – Beth Childs. Sarah will follow Beth's footsteps into a dangerous relationship with a potent new enemy, heading in a horrifying new direction. Under constant pressure to protect the sisterhood and keep everyone safe, Sarah's old habits begin to resurface. As the close-knit sisters are pulled in disparate directions, Sarah finds herself estranged from the loving relationships that changed her for the better."

The end of season 3 was rather tragic with the death of Delphine. Entertainment Weekly got to interview the series' co-creator John Fawcett and he admitted they knew it would disappoint the fans but they (creators) always had a tragic love story in mind. He added that the tragedy is necessary for Cosima's story and would be relevant in seasons 4 and 5. He also said that Delphine's killer may be revealed this coming season.

Another spoiler for the fourth season includes introduction of new clones where one named MK will have a great impact on the story's flow. She is described as a mysterious masked character. In a separate interview with EW, co-creator Gramer Manson reveals that the new clone is slightly traumatized with a deep past. Fawcett also adds that MK is paranoid because she knows more than Sarah does.

"The only way forward is to come back," says one of lead star Tatiana Maslany's characters in one teaser. It looks like MK will reveal more of their past than what Sarah already knows.
