The major death in "Orange is the New Black" season 4 has sparked so many questions from fans, especially after it was depicted that the death was covered up. One of the more important facets that are expected to be addressed in season 5, which will premiere next year, is how the black community inside Litchfield will handle the grief.

In season 4, fan favorite Poussey (Samira Wiley) was killed and even though it was unintentional, her death has paved the way for Litchfield inmates to display signs that they are fed up with the system and will soon start to fight back.

Piper (Taylor Schilling) is currently a big name in the penitentiary but recent reports suggest that her leadership will soon be overthrown by Laura Gomez's Blanca. Season 4 saw how Blanca's influence can actually raise awareness and the will to fight back among the inmates after she expressed dismay over how Latinas and black inmates were being treated.

Poussey's death definitely played a role in Blanca's desire to fight against correctional officers who treated other inmates with disrespect and a touch of stereotyping. Even though there is no word yet regarding how Blanca will turn the tables on Piper's leadership, the feud may start with Blanca's belief that Piper isn't doing enough to raise issues about equality.

Aside from the possible dethronement of Piper, it is speculated that there will be more deaths and riots in Litchfield as the ladies continue to grieve Poussey's death. Someone will want to avenge her untimely demise and this will lead to possibly the biggest riot in the prison yet.

Meanwhile, it is expected that Piper and Alex (Laura Prepon) will once again patch things up and stand together as a couple in "Orange is the New Black" season 4. Alex has had a rough time in the previous installment and fans believe Piper will be her shoulder to lean on.

Alex may feel guilty about seeing Lolly (Lori Petty) landing in the Psych ward after the latter helped her bury the hitman's body. She will need someone who will understand her sentiments and based on the timeline of her relationship with Piper, the pair might get reunited romantically to help each other in bad times.

"Orange is the New Black" season 4 will return sometime summer 2017.
