'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, spoilers, rumors: Amai Mask to discover Saitama's power source

(Facebook/One Punch Man)Rumor has it that the origin of Saitama's powers will be revealed in "One Punch Man" season 2.

Along with the rumors claiming that "One Punch Man" season 2 will begin airing next month are various speculations on what its possible plot may be. The latest in the rumor mill is that the upcoming season of the highly anticipated anime will uncover Saitama's source of power and reveal the real identity of Blast.

According to reports, it is highly possible for "One Punch Man" season 2 to feature where Saitama/One Punch Man's powers came from. Allegedly, it will be no less than Amai Mask who will discover how Saitama became the powerful being that he has become.

To the uninitiated, Amai Mask was one of the villains featured in the anime series in its season 2. He is a singer and an actor in his alter ego form. However, when he comes face-to-face with evil forces, he kills them without mercy at once as he believes that evil should be eradicated without dilly-dallying and should not be given a second chance.

Reportedly, "One Punch Man" season 2 would show interest in Saitama's powers and would likely uncover how he got them. It is also alleged that he will use his discovery to work on his advantage.

Apart from Amai Mask discovering Saitama's power source, it is also alleged that "One Punch Man" season 2 will also unveil the real identity of Blast, the character who was teased in chapter 106 of the web-comics version of the anime. While it's true that there are some people who believe that Saitama and Blast are one and the same, that the latter is nothing but a haired version of the former, there are those who think that he may be a relative of Saitama.

Meanwhile, despite the absence of any official word, it is now heavily speculated that "One Punch Man" season 2 will be unveiled anytime this month and will begin airing next month, after its English-dubbed version aired on Toonami concludes.

However, without any confirmation from Madhouse Entertainment, such speculation must be taken with a grain of salt for now.
