The previous chapter has demonstrated how strong Cracker's power is, but Luffy is not one to back out from a fight and, with this friends' life in danger, he is expected to release a power that will finally bring Cracker down in "One Piece" 838. With Cracker's impending defeat, Luffy's next move is to finally face Big Mom.

When Luffy released his Gear Third attack on Cracker, he was surprised that his opponent was barely moved by his gigantic fist. However, when he released Gear Fourth attack, it was Cracker's turn to be surprised at how powerful he could get.

While Cracker may find a way to still get back on his feet to exact his revenge on Luffy, the punch that threw him at a significant distance will have already distracted him. With his defeat, Luffy inches close to finally save his friend Sanji, but Big Mom will do everything in her power to stop it from happening.

In able to defeat Big Mom, however, Sanji needs to activate Gear Fifth, which he still has no access to at the moment. It remains to be seen if a Devil Fruit of Haki can help him tap another power level with some speculating it will eventually lead to the monkey-devil awakening.

Other predictions include the Vinsmokes also figuring in the fight. But whose side are they on? It has been revealed that the Vinsmokes only want to be part of Big Mom's family for political reasons. But seeing Big Mom's army crumbling down might cause them to take Luffy side. Still, others predict that the Vinsmokes will fight alongside Big Mom since it looks like they have no regard for Sanji's feelings.

As for other characters, Nami is also expected to finally beat Brulee as with the help of Pound.
