NVIDIA will introduce its new Pascal GPUs in the coming weeks, if recent reports are to be believed.

NVIDIA is rumored to be introducing the Pascal GPUs during the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2016. CEO and co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang will be giving the opening keynote presentation on April 5, Tuesday at 9 a.m. PT. Many are speculating that Huang may showcase the new GPUs during his presentation. Recent reports also suggest that the Pascal GPUs could be released to the public as early as May.

With the popularity of virtual reality headsets and very slim mobile devices, many are looking forward to the release of NVIDIA's new GPU. The Pascal GPU comes in a smaller form factor but is much more powerful than its predecessors. Thus, it would be perfectly suited for today's mobile devices.

According to WFFCTech, the flagship GPU in the Pascal lineup, the GT104, with the GeForce GTX will be released by May. However, its name may still change in the months leading up to its release. The NVIDIA GT104 is rumored to feature up to 8 GB of GDDR5 memory and may use a single eight-pin connector. Given the rumors, it seems that NVIDIA's latest High-Bandwidth Memory feature will not yet be featured in the upcoming GT104 GPU.

Last year, Huang talked about the Pascal GPU and NIVIDIA's road map at the GTC 2015. He announced that the Pascal GPU will be dramatically faster and more accurate. With a stacked 3D memory architecture, the Pascal GPU is able to work more efficiently and communication between components is accelerated. Given these promising features, it is no wonder why many are highly anticipating the Pascal's release.

Sadly, NVIDIA has not released any new information regarding the release of the new Pascal GPUs. Hopefully, more information comes to light in the weeks leading up to the GTC 2016.
