NVIDIA Pascal X80 Titan GPU release date news, specs details

The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Technology Conference, or GTC, is happening this week and technology enthusiasts are excited to find out more about NVIDIA Pascal graphics cards.
NVIDIA Pascal is considered to be the fastest GPU by far, according to Crossmap, and reports have it that it will be introduced sometime between April 4 and 7 at the conference.
According to a source for WCCFTech, the reveal of this new graphics card will be made specifically on April 5, when NVIDIA's chief executive officer Jen-Hsun Huang will have his keynote presentation. Further, the report mentioned that the company will not only be presenting a prototype of the Pascal graphics card, but the actual chips.
NVIDIA's Pascal-based graphics card has been subject of various rumors on the Internet. According to TechFrag, the new Pascal lineup will belong to the X series, composed of GP100 based X80Ti and X80 Titan, and GP104 based X80.
Of the lineup, the X80 Titan will be the most powerful graphics card in the GeForce X family. It is said to feature 6144 Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) cores, with 384 texture mapping units; 1024MHz base clock resulting in 12.595 teraflops and 192 render output units. Meanwhile, the X80Ti is said to have lower specs than the X80 Titan. The X80, on the other hand, is said to support 6 GB of GDDR5 memory, which contradicts Benchlife's report, which stated that the X80 will support 8 GB instead of six.
Pascal graphics cards are expected to be a great improvement from Maxwell. Reports have it that one of the outstanding features of the GPU is that it will have 17 billion transistors, which is much more than what the GM200 had.
NVIDIA Pascal graphics cards are expected to cost between $600 and $1000 and will be available in the first half of this year.
As always, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt and technology lovers should just watch out for the official announcement at the event.
