Nexus 5 2015 release date news: Device launch could be out in August
There are a lot of rumors and speculations regarding how the Nexus 5 2015 would compare to its predecessor. This year, all indications point towards Google choosing LG to manufacture the device, as well as having an October launch.
There are rumors which suggest that Google will be launching not one, but two Nexus devices this year. And there have long been indications that the second generation Nexus 5, which is otherwise known as the Nexus 5 2015, would be manufactured by LG as well. The same company responsible for creating its predecessor which was released in 2013.
The codename of the upcoming Nexus 5 2015 is reportedly going to follow along the lines of the previous device and will be named after a creature from the ocean, specifically the Angler. It is also claimed that this device will be the smaller of the two and be cheaper.
The LG Angler is expected to have a 5.2-inch display, which would put it smack right into the smartphone category. As for its processor, it is expected that LG will use the Snapdragon 808 processor and it will have a 2,700 mAh battery.
The news that LG would be responsible for manufacturing the upcoming Nexus 5 2015 was met with relief as many were not happy with the features present in last year's Nexus 6 which was manufactured by Motorola.
As for the release date of the Nexus 5 2015 it has been pegged to be launched in October, but many expect Google to bring out a Nexus smartphone or tablet when the Android M is released in August.
If this proves to be accurate, this could mean that the release of the Nexus 5 or its bigger sibling, currently thought to be manufactured by Huawei, would be pushed to August.
As for the device by Huawei, it is thought to be codenamed Bullhead and rumors currently point towards it having the latest Snapdragon 810 processor and a bigger display hovering around 5.7 inches.
