The second part of the "Matryoshka" story arc is set to be aired next week and the mystery surrounding G. Callen's identity will finally be revealed in episode 16 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7.

The previous episode saw the "NCIS" team go undercover with Arkady's daughter, Anna (Bar Paly), in order to gain access to the Russian Consul General's computer. Their mission proved to be fruitful as Anna not only found proof that her father was still alive, Sam (LL Cool J)and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) also discovered that a CIA operative was also being held with the former KGB officer.

The action will be moving to Russia in "Matryoshka, Part 2." According to a synopsis for episode 16, Callen, Sam and Anna have a plan to break Arkady (Vyto Ruginis) and the CIA operative out of prison. Callen will reportedly find the answers he's been looking for as he finally learns what the "G" in his name stands for. Meanwhile, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) take Eric (Barrett Foa) on a field assignment in L.A.

Viewers can feel how crucial this mission is to Callen in the trailer. The short clip starts with a shot of a woman in a sun hat, as she's shown to be at the beach with her family. Callen mentions his mother and says that's where it all starts. Meanwhile, a child (presumably Callen as a young boy) is playing at the beach, followed by scenes of a photo of a woman, a wall full of pictures and a gun with a silencer being cocked. The trailer also shows the "NCIS" agent and a group of people apparently waiting for someone or something. Callen and Sam are also seen interrogating a man in what appears to be a warehouse. The clip ends with an old man telling Callen that he knows who he is.

The trailer teases that Callen will finally get answers to the mystery of his identity, something that the agent and fans have long wondered about. But will this long-standing mystery finally be solved or will their mission to rescue the CIA operative force Callen to wait longer?

Fans will have to be patient though as the show has been pre-empted by the 58th Annual Grammy Awards.

Episode 16 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7 will be aired on Feb. 22.
