'NBA 2K17' to release 3 months from now; Yeezy kicks, underwater basketball, mascot wars as additional features
Three months from now, the "NBA 2K17" from Visual Concepts will be available in different gaming platforms and fans are getting curious as to what will be the new features added to the game's latest installment.
According to reports, the latest "NBA 2K17" game will feature the Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 shoe. The new kicks from the mentioned sporting brand will be part of the massive selection of apparels that can be worn by the custom character the player made. What is yet to be known, though, will be the color variants and appearance of the shoe in the forthcoming game.
Moreover, NBA 2KTV's Ronnie Singh made some gestures on his phone during NBA 2KTV's season finale that made fans speculate that the face scanning feature will be back on "NBA 2K17." The face scanning app's performance on previous "NBA 2K" games was rather dissatisfying and produced frustrating results when used. Some players took long hours to figure out a workaround of the said app in hopes of getting a better digital version of themselves, but most of them just gave up.
Singh also mentioned about a new feature in the upcoming game where gamers can now play basketball underwater, which made the host Rachel Demita react with an awkward look. The former also mentioned about timed locker codes where fans can now unlock NBA superstars or free agent players for a limited time and use them in the game. Singh also added the so-called mascot wars that made Demita ask as to whether the mentioned game mode will be a basketball match between the team's mascots, but Singh didn't give any further information about it.
Meanwhile, the game is now available on a pre-order basis for fans who would like to play ahead of the others. Those who will avail of the said offer will be entitled to the game's pre-order package that includes 5,000 virtual currency (VC) and three booster packs with an ensured Paul George card under the MyTeam bundle.
"NBA 2K17" will hit the stores on Sept. 20.
