A new image of the rumored Moto Z Play has surfaced online, and it reveals a key difference that exists between the device and the other smartphones included in the Moto Z family.

The new image came courtesy of hellomotoHK and it shows all three of the Moto Z phones together, though one definitely stands out.

As viewers will quickly notice, the phone in the middle – believed to be the Moto Z Play – features the familiar 3.5mm headphone jack, whereas the two other devices do not.

It's unclear why it appears that the Motorola has chosen to retain the headphone jack for the still unannounced Z Play after having already dropped it for the other devices, so folks will just have to stay tuned to find out the reasoning behind that decision.

The apparent inclusion of a headphone jack is not the only currently rumored feature of the Moto Z Play.

Earlier this month, the third member of the Moto Z family apparently popped up on the AnTuTu benchmarking website, and thanks to that surprising appearance, people got to know more about what the device may feature.

Phoneradar was able to share an image containing the specs of the Z Play as they appeared on the AnTuTu benchmarking site and it indicated that the new device will come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The image also revealed that the phone will be running the Android Marshmallow OS right out of the box.

The Z Play will also feature 3GB of RAM together with 32GB of internal storage, according to the image, and those go along with its 16-megapixel rear camera and the one up front that offers five megapixels.

A launch date for the Moto Z Play has yet to be determined, though recent rumors suggest that it could be officially unveiled this September.
