Minecraft is an Infiniminer-inspired video game where the player navigates, alters and interacts with a map made up by blocks the size of a cubic meter, which are generated dynamically.
Aside from blocks, mobs, plants and other items are also featured. Other highlights are redstone circuits to help the player carry out logic computations and remote actions; tracks and mine carts; and Nether, the enigmatic underworld.
The gamer will engage in activities like ore mining, crafting new tools and blocks, as well as fighting against hostile mobs. He can also create structures and artwork on his own map.
The game's goal is to go to End, a different dimension, and to beat Ender Dragon.
The Minecraft player is the person controlled by the user. When the game starts, the person is put in a world, with or without stuff to start with. He has a health bar having 10 hearts which can be downgraded by suffocation, drowning, falls, fire, lightning, lava, touching cacti, going into the Void, or being hit by mobs.
Health is restored with armor, eating food or when "Peaceful" difficulty is set. Health is also depleted by hunger when not Peaceful, sprint and eating raw or rotten food which can poison the player. Depleting health with hunger depends on difficulty level.
Minecraft is published by Mojang, with the Xbox One and Xbox 360 version published by Microsoft Studios, and PS4, PS3 and PS Vita versions published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game is mainly developed by Mojang, with console versions developed by 4J Studios.
