Michael Schumacher's family has imposed a media blackout ever since the seven time F1 champion suffered a horrible accident while skiing on the French Alps. However, many have tried to get their hands on Schumacher's latest health condition as the ace racing champion fights to regain basic muscle functions.

The latest reports doing the rounds is that a group of thieves have stolen a doctor's laptop that contains sensitive information on Schumacher's condition, including his medical records. Master Herald reports that the doctor in question was a part of an elite team of medical experts overseeing the German driver's treatment. Several men broke into the office of Dr. Johannes Peil through an open cellar door and stole his laptop, cash, prescription forms and perfume. The good doctor has been a physician with the family for many years.

This isn't the first incident in which someone stole Schumacher's medical records. In 2014, a helicopter rescuer was arrested for stealing medical documents but later hanged himself in his jail cell. The family, fearing a leak, has threatened to take legal action of any media outlet that spills the true condition of his health based on information contained in the laptop.

For now, little is known about Schumacher's condition except that he has responded to his wife and children's voices and can move his eyes. However, the F1 champ has yet to regain any function in his muscles as he cannot sit up, talk or walk. He is engaged in extensive physical therapy in order to restore blood circulation in his muscles.

Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone says he is unaware of Michael's latest condition, reports Auto Week. Calling his fate a "tragedy", Ecclestone has known the driver for over two decades and is close to the family. He said, "This may sound strange, but it would have been more logical if he had had his accident in racing. That is the tragedy of this story. He had a lot of crashes and took a lot of risks, but for it to happen like this? It was not even a skiing race."

Schumacher has 91 Grand Prix wins in his name and is the most successful driver in the history of Formula One.
