Miami Heat trade rumors 2016: Kings' Rudy Gay to replace Chris Bosh?

It remains uncertain when Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh can return to action or if he will ever play again due to a serious medical condition. If the team is looking ahead and bracing for the worst, they might want to find a replacement as early as now, and an option is Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay.

(Reuters/Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports)Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay is reportedly available on the trade market.

Bosh last played for the Miami Heat on February 9 in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Since then, he was sidelined because of the health setback he is currently dealing with.

Even Heat president Pat Riley is clueless reagrding Bosh's future and playing career.

This is just one of the many blows the Heat received this off-season. The biggest was the departure of All-Star guard Dwyane Wade who became the face of the franchise since he joined it in 2003.

Miami not having Wade moving forward already gives it a gap in scoring, and if Bosh will no longer be allowed to play, that leaves a massive hole on offense.

If the Heat wants to prevent a meltdown like this one, they must accomplish moves to compensate the loss of two elite veterans.

An option is trading for Gay, who is reportedly available on the market since earlier this off-season. There are rumors saying the Kings are seeking to part ways with him together with a few more players on their roster. While others are stating that the 29-year-old is the one requesting for this so he can leave Sacramento.

Gay is a veteran, and despite the fact that he is not on the same level as Wade or Bosh, he is a scorer and can at least produce decent numbers on offense.

Last season, Gay was the second-leading scorer for the Kings and was also recording good numbers on defense.
