It's shaping up to be a good holiday for "Final Fantasy" fans as Square Enix recently announced that "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" will be launched on Steam on Dec. 10. What's more, almost all of the downloadable content that were released for the game's console versions will also be included in the upcoming PC release. 

The game was originally scheduled for release in spring but was delayed to give developers more time, but now it seems all the quirks and bugs have been ironed out.

According to the "Lightning Returns" official Steam page, the game's PC version carries the same storyline as the console version that was released in February 2014 and also includes the downloadable content previously released for the original game. Popular characters like Caius, Fang, Hope, Noel, Sazh, Serah, Snow, Vanille and Yeul will also be included in this ultimate Lightning saga. 

Some of the schematas fans will be getting in the "Final Fantasy XIII" PC version are the "Art of War," "Dark Samurai," "Diving Wear," "FFX-2 Yuna," "FFVII Cloud," "Flower of Battle," "Moogle Lover," "Shining Prince," "Shogun," "Sohei Savior," "Tomb Raider," "Ultimate Savior" and "Utsusemi." However, fans should no longer wait for the "FFVII Aerith" schemata to arrive as Square Enix has already announced that they won't be releasing it. 

Unfortunately, there are some things that the PC version of "Final Fantasy XIII" won't have, like Dolby Digital sound support. Players can't change the names assigned to the chocobos, the schematas or the map markers, and the game doesn't have any functionality when linked to social networking sites. 

The PC version of "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" reportedly supports 60 fps frame rates and will have several "graphics options." However, Square Enix hasn't revealed yet what these options are. 

The game carries a $19.99 price tag and when it does launch on PCs next month, it will herald the completion of the "Final Fantasy XIII trilogy."
