'Kingdom Hearts 3' rumors and release date: first look at Daybreak Town; game set to be released 2017

"Kingdom Hearts III" being one of the top video games that Japanese gamers want to see underlines the game's popularity and how eagerly anticipated it is.
Gaming Bolt recently reported that "Kingdom Hearts III," along with "Final Fantasy 15" and "Persona 5," is part of the Famitsu Most Wanted Chart. Square Enix's popular action role-playing game will reportedly be released in 2017 but that hasn't stopped fans from speculating about the game and combing the web for anything and everything to do with "Kingdom Hearts III."
As a matter of fact, Entertainment Weekly recently came up with a wish list of worlds their staff wants to see included in the next installation of the game. It comes as no surprise that the world of Arendelle is at the top of the list, with the suggestion that the snow monster Marshmallow can become a mini-boss in the "Frozen" level. The lovable toys of "Toy Story" are also among the characters that gamers want to see interacting with Sora as they go up against Heartless.
There are even suggestions for the upcoming Moana, the Muppets, and even the iconic Star Wars characters to join the fray, although this is unlikely to happen.
While fans can only imagine what the worlds of "Frozen" and "Toy Story" would look like if it will be included in "Kingdom Hearts III" and future installations of the game, they were given their first look at Daybreak Town.
"Kingdom Hearts'" official Twitter account recently posted a photo of Daybreak Town from "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue." The post is the company's way of celebrating the game's 14th anniversary and is also their way of saying thank you to their loyal fans.
There's no news yet on when "Kingdom Hearts III" will be released, although 2017 is reportedly the target date. There was some confusion about the game's release date earlier this year when an Amazon listing stated that it will be released by the end of the year and that gamers can pre-order.
However, the listing also has a disclaimer stating that no actual release date has been set or confirmed.
