'Jessica Jones' news: Daredevil-Jessica Jones crossover is a possibility!
Netflix is scheduled to release the pilot season of "Marvel's Jessica Jones" in just a few weeks and fans who are familiar with the character from the graphic novels can no longer hold their excitement for the upcoming debut. Fortunately for them not only has Jessica Jones herself chimed in on the highly anticipated series, it seems like one other superhero might be appearing on "Jessica Jones."
In the middle of last month, Krysten Ritter, the actress who plays the titular character, sat down with Collider together with series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg. The pair were unsurprisingly cautious about giving a lot of spoilers away however during the interview Ritter expressed her deepest gratitude for the production for giving her the chance to play such an amazing character and to veer away from comedic roles she has been known for.
"You're right, I was doing comedy or doing drama, and this is an opportunity to do both and then action on top of it. I mean, it's a great part, man. It's like the coolest part in television that's been available to me or not available to me. So I'm just thrilled to bring her to life." explained Ritter.
Elsewhere, Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, revealed in a report by Business Standard that the two Netflix superhero adaptations, Jessica Jones and Daredevil, are set in the same area. While still very much coy with the details, his confirmation hints on the possibility of their worlds converging in a crossover.
"Without giving anything away, they're in the same area. In some cases they are in the same neighborhood. One of the things that is important to us is, when you enter the police station, it's the same police station."
The first season of "Jessica Jones" is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 20.
