'Jane the Virgin' season 3 spoilers: Will Xo consider abortion?

(Facebook/cwjanethevirgin)Xo still does not want her pregnancy in "Jane the Virgin" season 3.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 ended in a cliffhanger, with the main characters in different complicated situations. Xo (Andrea Navedo), in particular, was left confused with the surprising news that she was pregnant, after firmly saying that she did not want to have another child.

Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman recently told Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming installment would be difficult for Xo. She wanted to get back with Rogelio (Jaime Camil) but could not because of her condition. The EP confirmed that the father of her baby was Esteban (Keller Wortham). According to Urman, Xo would most likely consider "other options" with regards to her pregnancy. Some viewers think she may go as far as to abort the baby. To see how Xo will deal with the situation, fans will have to wait for the series' return.

"She's definitely going to consider other options. Xo has been very, very clear about the fact that she doesn't want another kid. She's raised Jane, and feels this is the time in her life where she can go after what she wants. Not only is the pregnancy unexpected, it's with someone she doesn't want to parent with. That's going to be something we get into as soon as we return," Urman shared.

Meanwhile, Michael's (Brett Dier) fate also remains to be seen in season 3. He was shot by Rose (Bridget Regan), who had been masquerading as his partner Susanna (Megan Ketch) all along. The actor told Bustle that he has several hypotheses in mind with regards to his character's situation in the new installment. According to him, Michael would likely survive, but he would not be the same anymore. He could develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and cause problems in his marriage with Jane (Gina Rodriguez).

The CW has yet to announce the release date of "Jane the Virgin" season 3.
