iPhone 7 specs: rumors doing the rounds of new wireless charging feature
Wireless Charging is no doubt one of the most innovative features of many high-end smartphones today. And because of its rising attention, rumor has it that Apple is now planning to equip their upcoming device, iPhone 7 or future variants, with this new technology. However, according to the unnamed source who is close to the project via Bloomberg, the Cupertino-based manufacturer might release a new kind of feature with a different twist.
It appears like Apple's version of Wireless Charging for the future iPhone variants might have an upgrade. The source claimed that the current plan for the feature is to have the capability to charge the device further away from the charging pad than the traditional one that is being used in current smartphones from other manufacturers.
There is no indication, though, if this feature will be present in the upcoming iPhone 7. If the Cupertin-based manufacturer doesn't make it in time, then the upgraded long distance Wireless Charging will presumably debut in Apple's future device iteration.
However, since there is no way to back up the claims, it is highly advisable for the fans to keep an open mind for now and wait more announcements coming from Apple regarding the feature. Needless to say, it's best to take this one with a pinch of salt, and consider this a mere rumor until proven otherwise.
Meanwhile, other rumors for the upcoming iPhone 7 have suggested that the device will come with a wireless Beats earbuds to compensate for the lack of audio jack on the device. As for its bigger brother, the iPhone 7 Plus, rumor reports have previously stated that the smartphone will now come with a much larger battery-life capacity and larger internal memory of 256GB on its high-end model.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be unveiled sometime in September 2016, based on the timeframe from Apple's past release.
