iPad Pro 2 release date, specs: Gadget coming next year; rumored features and specs

(Apple website)iPad Pro is a compact, lightweight tablet that functions like a computer as well.

September 7 has come and gone, but the long-rumored iPad Pro 2 has not been unveiled. Yet, talks about the gadget continue and suggest that it will be released next year. News about its features and specs also continues to make the rounds.

There have been many gadgets speculated to be launched during Apple's Sept. 7 event, including the highly anticipated iPad Pro 2. However, the only products that made an appearance were the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the Apple Watch 2.

Although disappointed, many continued to speculate that Apple will hold another event in October wherein MacBooks and iPads are reportedly to make an appearance. It has been a while since Apple conducted an October event and, as of this writing, the company has not announced it yet.

The speculation is further ignited by reports claiming that existing iPads are either having a storage upgrade for the same price or being sold for a much lower price. Talks have it that after the September event, iPads with lower storage capacity are given storage upgrades for the same price. iPad Pros with high storage capacity are said to be sold for a discounted price that ranges from $50 to $100.

The upcoming iPad Pro 2 is believed to be lighter and slimmer than the previous model. Three sizes are said to be available, namely the 12.9-inch, 9.7-inch, and 10.5-inch varieties. It is also being reported to come with more Apple Pencil compatible apps that would make it better for writing and drawing purposes. iPad Pro 2 is persistently rumored to run on A10X chip and to be equipped with a 325 GB internal memory.

Apple is known to outdo itself each time and, with the many manufacturers wanting to dominate the electronics market, it will not be surprising to know that Apple is just keeping things under wraps. But for now, all news about iPad Pro 2 should be considered rumors and speculations until officially launched.
