There are a lot of rumors surfacing on the internet regarding Apple's sequel to the iPad Pro that was first launched in September 2015 with a surprisingly large screen as wide as 12.9 inches. While a 9.7-inch version of the tablet was released in March last year and considered to be more consumer friendly than its predecessor in terms of size, there is still no confirmed date for the new device's release except that several reports are saying it is likely to come out this March.

Apple's September 2016 event dealt mostly with the release of the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2 without ever mentioning any hints regarding the iPad Pro 2. In October, the Cupertino-based company launched the new MacBook Pro, but still no mention of the new tablet. The two events that did not make mention of the tablet at all led many consumers and analysts alike to speculate that the iPad Pro 2 might be introduced this March, the month when Apple holds its first event for the year.

Several reports mention that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is known to have made accurate predictions about Apple products in the past, originally said that the iPad Pro 2 will carry a 10.5-inch display. Just recently, Kuo changed his initial prediction and said that the size might be somewhere between 10 and 10.5 inches. There is also a possibility that the iPad Pro 2 will come in 10.1 inches or 10.9 inches.

The iPad Pro 2 is said to feature an edge-to-edge display with no home button. It is also believed that the device will no longer include bezels in the front. Other sources are hinting that the tablet will feature the latest processor known as the A10X. Some improvements are also expected of the Apple Pencil, the optional stylus that is compatible with only a handful of applications available in the iPad Pro. However, Apple might choose to wait for the iOS 11 prior to implementing adjustments to the stylus.

As for the price of the iPad Pro 2, it would be dependent on the available variants. A 32 GB variant will most likely cost $799, the 128 GB $949, while the 256 GB will be $1,099.

Apple has yet to reveal additional details regarding the highly anticipated tablet.
