Apple's latest iPad Pro 2 could arrive late March?

Alleged sources inside Apple's supply chain have said that the latest iPad Pro 2 model will arrive in the market between March 20 and 24, creating a stir among Apple gadget fans.

In March last year, a more compact version of the iPad, a 9.7-inch version with sleeker design and better features, was released.

They were labelled by some as the iPad Pro 12.9 and iPad Pro 9.7, based on their screen sizes.

Macworld seems skeptical regarding the release of the iPad Pro 2. The site stated that it is unlikely Apple will release the newest model soon.

In other developments, Apple also announced that it has discontinued the iPad mini 2 which also uses iPhone 5s' A7 chip.

Instead, Apple opted to increase the storage capacity of iPad mini 4 to 128 GB, but will still be sold at the same $399 price.

The new 9.7-inch iPad has replaced the iPad Air 2 which originally costs around $499. Although it has already dropped the "Air" name, Apple's newest gadget has retained the original dimensions of the first iPad Air, indicating that it will be heavier and thicker compared to iPad Air 2.
