IOS 9 Jailbreak: China's hacker group 'Keen Team' start efforts to jailbreak the OS

(APPLE)

This week saw tech giant Apple unveiling its new upcoming operating system, the iOS9. The announcement was made during the keynote speech by Apple's current CEO, Tim Cook on the first day of this year's WWDC.

"iOS keeps getting better and better, iOS 9 takes it to an even greater level," said Cook.

The new version of Apple's operating system could provide long-awaited solutions to the most problematic features of the company's products. A report by macrumor.com has summarized what could be expected from the iOS 9, saying:

"iOS 9's biggest focus is on intelligence and proactivity, allowing iOS devices to learn user habits and act on that information, opening up apps before we need them, making recommendations on places we might like, and guiding us through our daily lives to make sure we're where we need to be at the right time."

The iOS is only available in its developer beta form, with the public beta to be released in July and the full version in September. However, there are already rumors that the jailbreak for the newest iOS is in the works, though it could be a tough feat for the jailbreaking community.

One of the improvements that come with iOS 9 deals specifically with securing the operating system and ensuring that it is unbreakable. An earlier report by BGR.com had claimed that the iOS 9 would feature "Rootless" security to prevent any efforts to jailbreak the device.

This hasn't stopped the jailbreaking community from developing a jailbreak for the iOS 9 system. In fact, GottabeMobile recently released an article detailing how a Chinese award-winning group of hackers have begun efforts to jailbreak the iOS 9. Known as the 'Keen Team' the group is composed of a dozen developers who are well-versed with the iOS software.

"The team doesn't yet have a working iOS 9 jailbreak, but they're pretty confident that they'll be able to crack the new mobile operating system, as they're already saying that they hope to release it in the fall," said the report.

Apple's iOS 9 full version will be available come September.
