At last month's San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon confirmed that the upcoming video game "Injustice 2" will have a mobile version. Boon continued to tease the attendees of SDCC with a hint that the game might contain characters from DC comic books.

Boon recently posted a poll on Twitter. Boon asked, "How would you prefer to make an Injustice 2 app?" There were two options to choose from: add to "Injustice 1" or brand new app. The final results revealed that 71 percent of 7,734 voters wanted a brand new app for "Injustice 2."

"Injustice 2" is a fighting video game sequel to "Injustice: God Among Us." The game is being developed by NetherRealm Studios, and it will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. DC Entertainment is a company of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Hence, having DC characters in the upcoming game isn't entirely implausible.

The video game sets DC characters to fight each other. Rumors suggest that "Injustice 2" could and should have the supervillains Darkseid, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark added to the game.

According to WCCF Tech, the following DC characters will appear in the game: Aquaman, Atrocitus, Batman, Blue Beetle, Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Supergirl, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

One big addition to the game is the gear system. Boon told Dual Pixels that the system is a method of acquiring game pieces which will help users upgrade characters, and eventually, it will lead to the best version of the user's character.

NetherRealm Studios hasn't confirmed a release date for "Injustice 2," but it will definitely come out sometime next year. The game will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will also be available on Android and iOS systems. Hopefully, the game will be available for the PC, which, according to Boon, was a possibility.
