'Incredibles 2' spoilers: New villain could be related to Syndrome

(Pixar)Jack-Jack would be in his teens when the film returns in 2019. He is rumored to be one of the villains.

The Parr family will soon be back in action as "The Incredibles 2" is already set for a release in June 2019. Plot details have been kept pretty much under wraps, but one fan theory may have just unearthed a clue as to what the sequel can offer.

Tumblr user sophicals has discovered that there's a coincidental time gap between the events in the first film and the release date of the second film. It can be recalled that Syndrome, the frustrated Mr. Incredible fanatic, was set to take down the Parr family. Mr. Incredible begged the villain to spare his family by promising to do whatever he wants him to do, but then, Syndrome replied, "Too late! 15 years too late!"

Surprisingly, "Incredibles 2," having a pegged release year of 2019, would mean that it will be 15 years by then since the original movie aired, which was in 2004. With this realization, it was speculated that Disney may have planned to have a 15-year time gap so that there will be a connection between the first and the second film.

As reported by E! Online, it could be that Syndrome may have a long lost sister or even a successor who will be the sequel's next villain, spreading evil in his name.

Meanwhile, another plot theory revolves around the youngest of the Parrs, Jack-Jack. Considering the timeline between two releases, Jack-Jack would now be in his teens, and with raging hormones, he is said to be rebellious enough to be the sequel's big bad. There were even reports stating that the next movie will feature Jack-Jack fighting with his big brother, Dash.

According to Crossmap, it could also be possible that Syndrome will come back once again, but will have to use the youngest Parr to carry out his evil plans.

"The Incredibles 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
