"Hunter x Hunter" fans were treated to the release of new, action-filled chapters of the manga just earlier this year, but alas, the thrill was short-lived as yet another hiatus has taken hold.

Normally, a hiatus is no big deal for a manga since one typically lasts for just a few weeks or perhaps months in certain cases, but the same thing does not apply to this particular manga.

In pursuit of more information related to the hiatus, RocketNews 24 got in touch with Weekly Shonen Jump publisher Shueisha earlier this year. Unfortunately, that didn't prove to be that helpful either, as the publisher noted that there is still no definite date for when the manga may return.

With no official timetable currently set for the latest "Hunter x Hunter" hiatus, fans have been left to only speculate about it and they aren't exactly exuding tons of optimism.

Over on the r/HunterXHunter Subreddit, even the most optimistic fans are predicting at least a year-long hiatus for the manga. Some fans have even hinted that this latest manga stoppage may last for two or possibly three years.

Other fans are trying to find solutions for the current hiatus, with some suggesting that perhaps new chapters may just be released on a monthly basis to help ensure that another extended break will not have to be necessary, though it's unclear exactly how open to that idea creator Yoshihiro Togashi is.

At this point, it just seems that fans will be better served to stay on standby, keep an eye out for updates and hope that Togashi will come through and deliver new chapters sooner than later, even though that seems to be an unlikely occurrence at this point.
