The Huawei Watch was unveiled in March of this year, but it still hasn't been released in stores and its pricing has not been announced. However, this was remedied just before the IFA 2015 kicked off, when Huawei hosted a press conference on Sept. 2 and finally revealed more details about the smartwatch.

Reporting on the release of the device, Android Pit states that even though it runs Android Wear, it can be paired with devices running iOS 8.2 and Android 4.3. This gives the device a big advantage, especially when compared to other watches likes the Apple Watch. In addition, its design also gets points as it has the look and feel of a traditional watch.

The Huawei Watch comes in three colors, silver, black and rose gold, and its body is made of stainless steel. As for its straps, there are several options to choose from including stainless steel versions plated with rose gold, a version in plain stainless steel and one created from genuine leather. One important point to take note of is that the straps can be swapped out with any 18 mm strap available in the market.

The AMOLED display on the device measures 1.4 inches with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels and a density of 286 pixels per inch. It comes with a dual sapphire crystal coating to increase its toughness. Sensors on the device include a heart rate sensor and a 6-Axis motion sensor.

Running the show on the Huawei Watch is a Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. The device will also come with 4 GB of onboard storage and 512 MB of RAM.

The Huawei Watch is already available for pre-order and is expected to start shipping by Sept. 17, the same date when it will also be showcased in retail stores. In terms of pricing, the cheapest version, which is the silver stainless steel model paired with a leather strap, is priced at $349. The most expensive model, however, the one which is rose gold plated, will cost $799.
