'House of Cards' Season 3 update: Major character getting killed
During a Twitter Q&A, House of Cards creator Beau Willimon revealed a couple of spoilers that will happen in the next season, particularly the death of a major character.
Little is known as to what will happen in the next season of House of Cards, and its producers and cast members are keeping their lips tight when it comes to story details.
However, during a Q&A held over Twitter, the show's creator managed to slip a couple of spoilers for its excited fans.
According to a report, Beau Willimon revealed that Doug Stamper, one of the major characters in season 1 and 2, will be killed in season 3.
At the end of season 2, Doug is seen chasing Rachel Posner into the woods, in a scenario that quickly turned upside down when Rachel caught up to him from behind and hit his head with a huge rock.
Willimon added that it was "pretty evident" that Stamper's character will be gone in the next season, and his survival was just left in question. The creator added that Posner's character and story arc will be continued next season.
Doug's death will play a huge role in the next season, especially that Frank Underwood just got sworn into presidency. As Underwood's right hand man, Stamper was responsible for most of the politcian's dirty work, including planned murders and numerous hits.
It is said that the new season of House of Cards will consist of 13 episodes.
