A decade after the novel came out and six years after the film adaptation, the clamour for any "Harry Potter" news can still be felt. In fact, recent reports of a small screen adaptation have surfaced sending fans into a frenzy of excitement.

However, according to the Guardian, book author, J.K. Rowling, quickly clarified the spreading rumors.

Rowling was asked by a fan regarding whether or not there will be a chance that the well beloved novel will have a TV version.

Last Aug. 8, 2015, she said in reply, "Right after the opera, Potter-on-ice and the interpretative dance version of Beedle the Bard. #NotActuallyHappening."

While Rowling's confirmation is heartbreaking for the fans to say the least, they could easily get their "Potter" fix as new adaptations and installments are scheduled to be released very soon.

Based on the official website of the author, a new play titled "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will be released next summer at the London's Summer Theatre. Not a lot of information about the play have been available, however, according to Christian Today, the play would not be a prequel and could possibly be set in Hogwarts while Harry is studying in the wizarding school.

In addition to that, VineReport recently published an article detailing that Warner Bros. is in fact developing the companion book to the "Harry Potter" series, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" into a movie saga.

It will be directed by David Yates, who was also responsible for the last four "Harry Potter" films. Its setting will be 70 years before the events in the initial "Harry Potter" movie where the life of wizard, Newt Scamander, would be its main focus. Some of its main cast will be the Oscar-winner, Eddie Redmayne, Collin Farrell, and Ezra Miller.

The movie is said to premiere on Nov. 18, 2016.
