'Grimm' season 6 plot spoilers: The love web continues
The story is reportedly coming to a close with the upcoming season 6 hinted to be the series' last. Going into the season, relationships are more complicated than ever when season 5 of "Grimm" ended.
The show started with Nick (David Giuntoli) and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) being in a relationship that gets tested by the discovery of Nick's identity as a grimm and the world of the wesens. Their relationship seemed to grow stronger each season until Juliette and Adalind had to transform into each other for different reasons, which had side effects. Adalind bore Nick a child and Juliette became a wesen, which lured her to the dark side.
Renard and Juliette, on the other hand, had a brief spell-induced attraction. Renard also has a baby with Adalind. In season 5, co-parenting their child Kelly caused Nick and Adalind to get closer.
"Grimm" season 5 ended with Nick and Adalind loving each other. Unfortunately, Renard needs Claire and both her children to further his political ambitions and she decided to give in to his demands to protect Nick. At the same time, the healing stick cured Eve of her hexenbeist persona as she is back to being Juliette.
Renard is said to be the main villain in season 6 and he will use his daughter with Claire to keep Nick away from them. With Juliette back to being the woman Nick loved, it is hard to tell where these relationships will lead to.
Nick and Juliette pairing continues to have always had a lot of supporters. Nick and Adalind supporters surprisingly grew in number as well during the last season. There are also a number who think that Renard and Juliette look good together and a number who believe that Renard and Adalind should be the end game.
In an interview with Giuntoli, he said " Is there a worse time in a guy's life to find out your woman has come back? We're all in the middle of being killed! On top of that, Nick is now in love with a Hexenbiest and they have a child." He also added that Nick's mother's death will also come to play. Juliette killed his mother, but, at the same time, the Juliette and Eve persona mix-up is a complication that has to be taken into consideration.
"Grimm" season 6 has been renewed to have 13 episodes, but the actor also hinted that it could be their last. There are many loose ends that needed to be tied up, and, if the upcoming would indeed be the show's last, more episodes may be added.
"Grimm" season 6 is scheduled to premiere on Oct. 28 on NBC.
