With the release of the Android 4.4.3 update, many Google Nexus 5 users have spotted more problems than fixes in the new KitKat firmware.

Following complaints in March about high CPU-usage connected to the smartphone's camera, Google promised that remedies are underway and will be fixed in the next OS update.

However, it seems like the opposite was true, as a number of issues were reported after owners installed the Android 4.4.3 update, including the following:

- Data connectivity, both cellular and WiFi

- Notification problems

- Random reboots

- Random vibrates

- Screen pulsation

- Lagging Google Play Store

- ActiveSync errors

Ecumenical News reported recently that battery life is still one of the main troubles encountered by users even after the OS update, which was in fact dedicated to solve this bug.

But the bigger frustration could easily come from the fact that these bugs did not manifest when users updated to the previous Android 4.4.2.

A plethora of complaints in the Google Nexus 5 Community can be found on a Google Plus community dedicated to the product.

One post stated:

"I'm facing a problem that whenever I'm on call, and I turn on the loudspeaker, the sound comes out is like broken, usually happen when you turn high volume on low quality speaker. I'm not sure why is this happening, as when I play songs, games music through the loud."

The Nexus 5 was once dubbed as the best all-around Android phone.

According to a Forbes review, "Not only was the Nexus 5 faster than the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z, but it was also nearly half the price while promising immediate updates to the latest versions of Android."

It went on sale shortly after Google's announcement and became one of the most elite phones in the market.

In the aftermath of its launch, Android 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 were released to solve initial problems with the Nexus 5.

Now, plagued with issues, a lot is riding on the upcoming Android L update for Nexus.
