'Fuller House' season 2 cast news: Matt will come back in next installment

(Facebook/FullerHouseNetflix)Meet DJ's clone on the next episode.

Fans have seen Matt (John Brotherton) as DJ's (Candace Cameron Bure) love interest. His role in the first season was not that big. But in season 2, he is back as a series regular.

With his return comes the question of whether or not he will also take his relationship with DJ to the next level.

It can be remembered that before season 1 ended, Matt and DJ made a deal to become business partners of a veterinary clinic they called Harmon-Fuller Pet Care. Matt surely expressed his romantic interest towards D.J., but then Steve (Scott Weinger) was also there between them which put DJ in a dilemma.

Eventually, she decided not to choose any of them, saying that she has just started dating again and things were beginning to get too complicated for her. She added, "If it's this hard for me to decide, I must not be ready for a serious relationship."

Now fans are asking if there is a future for the two now that Brotherton has become a series regular. A spoiler on TV Line indicates otherwise, saying that he will find love with a yoga instructor named Cristal. He will meet her when he signs up for a class in the hopes of moving on from his heartbreak. However, he will have his biggest surprise as he unexpectedly finds love through yoga.

Meanwhile, fans are airing their expectations for the next season of "Fuller House," saying how they would love to see some of the cast members of the original show appear as either regulars or guest stars.

Some of those who they want to see are either of the Olsen twins, who used to interchangeably appear as Michelle on the show, and Blake McIver Ewing, who played Michelle's frenemy, Derek. Fans say that it would be nice to see either of these characters and bring back memories of the old times.
