'Frozen 2' rumors: sequel hints expected via the 'Frozen TV Holiday' special

(Facebook/Frozen)According to rumors, Disney will hint about what to expect from "Frozen 2" when the "Frozen TV Holiday Special" airs in 2017.

With Disney tight-lipped on any detail regarding "Frozen 2," various rumors and speculations have surfaced about the highly anticipated sequel. However, it is said that "Frozen" fans will get some interesting hints about "Frozen 2" once the "Frozen Holiday TV Special" airs over ABC in the holidays of 2017.

According to reports, the upcoming "Frozen Holiday TV Special" will hype up the interest of the fans in "Frozen 2" even further. As to how exactly, it remains to be seen.

As of this writing, there is still no solid information that can shed light on how the stories of both "Frozen 2" and "Frozen TV Holiday Special" will pan out. In fact, Disney has not even assigned a showing date for the movie sequel, although rumors pointing to a 2018 release are growing louder and louder.

The only consolation of the fans at this point in time is the confirmation that there is, indeed, a sequel coming up, despite the deafening silence of Disney about it.

"We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it. That's all I know — unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes," said Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa in the first "Frozen" movie and in the animated short, during an interview with E! News last June.

That statement of Menzel did not only confirm that there is, indeed, a "Frozen" sequel in the pipeline and that production is yet to start, but it also gave rise to absurd "Frozen 2" plot rumors saying that Elsa will die in the sequel.

When the live-action "Tarzan" movie was shown last month, the earlier fan theory saying that the animated version of the King of the Jungle will be part of "Frozen 2" as the long-lost brother of Elsa and Anna has also resurfaced.

Without any official word from Disney, numerous rumors and speculations as to what "Frozen 2's" plot will be are expected to spring up here, there, and everywhere. From the looks of it, Disney is banking on its silence to whet the appetite of the fans for the arrival of the highly anticipated sequel.
