'Fast and Furious 7' cast spoilers: Jason Statham set to play film's main villain
'Fast and Furious 7' fans are anxious to find out what the completed movie will look like and what Jason Statham's role will be, following its first trailer previewed in a media-peppered event that took place weeks ago. Prior to the teaser, fans are clueless about Statham's character in Fast and Furious 7.
This is going to be the first time that the Expendable's actor will appear in the successful movie franchise, except for the cameo in the previous installment, which also intrigued moviegoers at the time.
According to the trailer, Statham will be involved in numerous fight scenes against the pack's leader Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), and federal agent and bounty hunter Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson). The actor will play as Ian Shaw, and is expected to avenge his brother's (Owen Shaw) death. Owen was killed at the end of Fast and Furious 6, when his car flipped over Han's car.
For those who remembered, Statham had a short cameo at the end of FF6, and his role in the seventh is expected to be violent and explosive as his character's personality.
"Dominic Toretto, you don't know me. You're about to," says Statham in the trailer as he speaks to Vin Diesel's character.
Aside from Statham's character reveal, the trailer also showed impressive stunts, explosions, and of course, insanely pimped out and fast race cars.
'Fast and Furious 7' will premiere in cinemas on a release date in March of 2015.
