'Far Cry 4' is arriving with a November 18 release date on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

The seven-minute gameplay trailer was previewed at E3 2014 and did not disappoint, and is geared up to be a worthy sequel to the franchise's hit video game, Far Cry 3.

"Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans' expectations," said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. "Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we're eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months."

The footage took the gaming community into the Far Cry series' new setting, up in the endless glittering vistas of the Himalayas.

The gameplay walkthrough is set in a fictional region of the Himalayas called Kyrat where Far Cry 4's hero, Ajay Ghale, finds himself in the middle of a violent civil war, orchestrated by the villain Pagan Min, the self-appointed ruler of the region.

Another interesting take is the use of faded-yellow tuk-tuks that can be easily recognized by cosmopolitan backpackers, and the fact that players can not only fire weapon while driving, but can also jump from vehicle to vehicle during road chases.

You can also tackle challenges at outposts with the use of the elephants.

'Far Cry 4: Kyrat Edition' features three missions: fighting enemies in the snow-capped mountains to repossess an artifact, riding elephants to combat waves of enemies with harpoon gun-equipped Hurk at your side, and the finale that requires the player to chase down an enemy fleet in a gyrocopter to save Hurk from death.

The game can already be pre-ordered via the following retailers: GameStop, Amazon, uPlay, Walmart, Target and Best Buy.

PlayStation Plus members are also privileged to invite up to ten friends who do not own Far Cry 4 and play the free trial online in co-op, by downloading the entire game world minus the single player missions.

Ubisoft has priced the Far Cry 4: Gold Edition at $89.99.
