The hit TV series "Empire" is currently on its third season and while it is still on a mid-season break, some spoilers for season 4 have already surfaced online. Set to join the cast with a major recurring role next season is actress Demi Moore.

The 54-year-old star will make her first appearance in the season 3 finale as a "take-charge nurse" with a past clouded with mystery. The finale episode will serve as a cliffhanger that will open the door for her recurring role in season 4. It has also been reported that her character will become "treacherously entangled" with the Lyon family.

As to what exactly the nurse has to do with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard), that is still unknown at this point.

Moore may not have been seen on the small screen for quite some time, but this is not her first television role. She also starred in an episode of "Will & Grace" in 2003, and had a role in a TV series titled "General Hospital" back in the 1980s.

Moore's daughter with ex-husband Bruce Willis, Rumer, will also be making a guest appearance on the show this season. She will make her debut after the mid-season break, playing the role of a talented singer-songwriter who becomes vital to Jamal's latest musical project.

There will be more guest stars to come as well, including Eva Longoria, Taye Diggs, Nia Long and Phylicia Rashad. The show is known to have A-List guests every now and then. Personalities like Jennifer Hudson, Naomi Campbell, Courtney Love, and Mariah Carey also appeared on the show in the past.

FOX has already renewed the hip-hop drama series for another season earlier this year. Season 4 will have 18 episodes.

"Empire" will resume airing on Wednesday, March 22, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
