'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date: trailer teases character transformation and other items

(Dragon Ball Z- Games / Facebook)'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' has released a new trailer.

Following the official announcement of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," a new trailer has been released, teasing a few things that will come with the sequel.

Attack of the Fan Boy notes that the trailer focused on giving players an idea of how characters created by users will be involved in the gameplay. Unlike other titles that don't have much to offer in terms of user-created characters, the upcoming sequel to "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will largely involve them.

The teaser also provided fans with a first look at the new transformation: a giant Namekian. Known as the Great Namek in other "Dragon Ball" titles, the huge Namekian's power can be compared to that of a Super Saiyan.

The Great Namek was last seen in a "Dragon Ball Online" game that was only made available for players in Japan and Korea, but it has now been confirmed that the transformation will also be explored in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

As for the new items unveiled, the Nimbus Cloud and Power Pole appear to be two items that user-created characters can make use of. Though this reveal has yet to be officially confirmed, it does slam previous rumors that "Dragon Ball" content won't likely be seen in the title.

Meanwhile, some fans are looking forward to the changes that the development team applied in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." The first installment received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike.

One of the issues that some gamers pointed out is the difficulty levels. According to Mobile N Apps, the unreasonable difficulty spikes disappointed players since there were times when AIs were powered with a higher level of defense and attack.

Another problem that fans found is the lack of combat mechanics. Since the first game had questionable difficulty levels, it was hard for many players to get their own characters in the same levels as Goku and Vegeta, making it even harder for them to get into battle alongside their favorite "Dragon Ball" names.

If the sequel will fix the issues, the game could potentially get more attention and many others will check it out.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is slated for release on October 25 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be out for the PC on October 28.
