"Dark Souls III" will run at 60 fps (frames per second) in the PC version. This has been confirmed by Bandai Namco in a tweet to respond to the rumors that the game will be locked at 30 fps. Initially, the rumor began from an email in response to a fan inquiring about the fps of the upcoming game (via Segment Next)

This is what the customer representative replied to the email:

"Thank you for contacting Bandai Namco Entertainment Online Store Support. Unfortunately the plan is to keep the frame rate locked at 30 fps but nothing is yet confirmed from what I am aware of. Please keep updated through the main website."

Here is the tweet in response to the rumors:

According to Polygon, the original "Dark Souls" game was locked at 30 fps for the PC version until the modding community tweaked the system to make it run at 60 fps.

Now that the rumor has come to rest, players can now be more hyped for the release of the game since it will run at 60 fps. In a game that values the player's movement and precise action, this comes as no surprise that fans' priority is the frame rate. A higher frame rate ensures that animation and movement are smoother and gameplay will be fluid.

Other information available about the game is presented by Gamespot in various videos presenting some of the bosses and the available classes in the game (Knight, Mercenary, Warrior, Herald, Theif, Assassin, Sorcerer, Pyromancer, Cleric and Deprived). The video presents the challenging nature of the game to newcomers but looks to be a rewarding experience for the veteran players of the series. Since these veteran players will experience an A.I. that requires quick thinking and changing combat tactics. The game is looking like it's not a walk in the park and players will surely die and die again.

"Dark Souls 3" will be released April 12 on all platforms.
