'Daredevil' season 3 release date rumors: Netflix series will not air earlier than 2018

(Facebook/Marve's Daredevil)It is speculated that "Daredevil" season 3 will not arrive earlier than 2018.

Fans of Marvel's "Daredevil" on Netflix will need to extend their patience even further as it is believed that the season 3 of the said series will not arrive earlier than 2018.

Some fans of the said series thought that the season 2 of "Daredevil" will be the last for the series. However, when it was announced at last July's San Diego Comic-Con that there will be a "Daredevil" season 3, many fans felt a great deal of relief.

However, fans will need to be a little more patient as the upcoming season of "Daredevil" will not be available earlier than 2018. With Marvel and Netflix already having a good lineup of superhero shows for next year, such as "Iron Fist," "The Defenders," "Jessica Jones," and "The Punisher," it shouldn't really be above any fan's head why "Daredevil" season 3 will have to take a backseat.

Meanwhile, it has also been learned that fans of "Daredevil" have been clamoring for the inclusion of Matt Murdock/Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) most formidable opponent in the comic books, Bullseye, in the live-action TV adaptation of the story.

However, the fans are not alone in their wish as even Cox himself has been lobbying for the inclusion of the said villain in the upcoming season of "Daredevil."

"I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point. It would be great to have him around at some point. Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there's such an interesting, rich character there, and also of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic. When you read the comics it's etched in a Daredevil memory all that stuff," said Cox in an interview with Screenrant last March.

Will "Daredevil" season 3 really feature Bullseye as its big bad? If so, who will breathe life to the character?

Apparently, it's a guessing game at this point in time.
