A man claims to be Dr. Lewis' (Aisha Tyler) brother in the upcoming episode 7, titled "Mirror Image," of the 12th season of the American police procedural drama "Criminal Minds."

After a man trying to claim to be Dr. Lewis' brother appears in town, the BAU team decides to open an investigation. The man surprisingly knows a lot about her and her family. Dr. Lewis, on the other hand, has not successfully reached out to her real sibling.

The promo trailer for the upcoming "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode, titled "Mirror Image," shows a man confronting Tara and claiming that he is her brother. However, she is unconvinced by his claim. Also, she is impressed at how good the guy pretends to be her own blood relative. After consulting the situation to the BAU team, the group decides to look into it. Also, it seems like Tara has brought her dad to talk face-to-face with the man.

Meanwhile, Thomas Gibson's departure from the series as Aaron Hotchner was briefly addressed in the previous episode 6, titled "Elliot's Pond." Rossi (Joe Mantegna) told the team that Hotch is not on a special assignment but has entered Witness Protection.

It can be noted that the actor had to exit the show because of some internal conflicts, which apparently involved physical altercations.

"We were shooting a scene late one night when I went to Virgil and told him there was a line that I thought contradicted an earlier line," Gibson said on Entertainment Weekly as to what had happened between him and the writer-producer Virgil Williams. "He said, 'Sorry, it's necessary, and I absolutely have to have it.'"

However, the next thing he remembered was that Williams started coming toward him and so he tapped him on the leg. Then, they had an argument, but they ended to shoot the scene and wrap up. Unfortunately after that, he never had the chance to return.
