'Crash Bandicoot' game rumors mount as it appears as Easter egg in Uncharted

With subtle hints dropping over the months that a "Crash Bandicoot" game is in the works, it appears likely that it is indeed being planned by developer Naughty Dog. However, right now, all attention is focused on Easter eggs for the game and other rumors about it being in development.
Reporting on the rumors about "Crash Bandicoot," GameRant states that an Easter egg has been included in the upcoming "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" game. In the game, a PlayStation One is shown being used by protagonist Nathan Drake and his wife Elena as they play a "Crash Bandicoot" game. However, this is not a new game but the first one that was released in the gaming series.
As soon as the Easter egg was spotted by players, it was picked up by a number of websites and videos started circulating. Importantly, in "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," the player can actually take control of the "Crash Bandicoot" game that Nathan is playing. They can spend time jumping and trying to escape a massive boulder that is rolling toward them. However, the game is designed to ensure that Drake does not surpass the high score that his wife Elena has reached playing "Crash Bandicoot."
As for other rumors about the game, a NeoGAF user spotted voice actor Lex Lang, who has previously worked on "Crash Bandicoot," stating on his Facebook page that he is working to resurrect three characters. He specifically indicated that one would be a doctor, a droid, and the other a devil. Since the only doctor character that Lang had worked on previously is Neo Cortex, the NeoGAF user immediately came to a conclusion that the game is, in fact, in development. However, shortly after, Lang stated that he was referring to another game and not "Crash Bandicoot," which left many gamers disappointed.
Needless to say, many are pointing out that if the "Crash Bandicoot" game is in development, the voice actors will not be authorized to speak about it and this could be one reason why Lang made the denial.
